About Yes Carnoustie
We are a friendly group of folk committed to securing independence for Scotland. We welcome folk who share our commitment – from all political affiliations and none.
We also welcome those who are unclear about the opportunities that independence will bring but are curious to know more.
Our group covers the local council ward of Carnoustie and District including: Carnoustie, Barry, Easthaven, Muirdrum, Monikie and Newbigging.
We are affiliated to Believe in Scotland.
Our Constitution
Yes Carnoustie was established as a constituted voluntary organisation on 1st February 2018. You can read our Constitution Constitution YES Carnoustie (post AGM 2021).
Under our Constitution, we can have a management committee of up to eight people, drawn from our membership.
The committee elected at the 2025 AGM is:
Rosemary Champion (Chair), Dan Champion (Secretary), Pauline Ward (Treasurer), Gordon O’Donnell, Joanne Delaney and Andrew Pearson.
The Indy Pledge
Yes Carnoustie has signed the Indy Pledge and all members are expected to comply.
What we do
We don’t believe we will secure Scottish independence as keyboard warriors arguing with the trolls and Twitterati, but by those committed to independence having friendly and constructive conversations with our friends and neighbours.
From spring 2025, we will be running an “Indy hub” at 95, High Street, Carnoustie.
Get in touch with us now if you’d like to get involved.
